Participation at Trinity is by invitation season to season. Prior to each season, market management extends invitations to returning vendors and, if space availability permits, potential new vendors. There is a very low turnover. Trinity is a modest sized community based, functional farmers' market and our vendor count is limited. It is not about increasing vendors season to season, nor if a food is not represented it should be included. It is about maintaining the market integrity, supporting local agriculture, quality over quantity and keeping it viable for participating vendors. Minding our footprint on the green space is also important. The vendor line up is curated for diversity and overall balance based on our mandate and to maintain our farmers' market designation.
All participating vendors have gone through an application/approval process and sign an agreement in order to participate. Vendors cannot participate without prior approval by market management.
We do not keep a waiting list. Vendor inquiries can be sent via the contact page. You must be directly involved with growing, raising or making the product you intend to bring to a famers' market. Supply detail about your growing practices, and in prepared foods, locally sourced ingredients is a priority. Only vendors of interest will be contacted.
Vendors not considered: Ones that use synthetic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers or products containing GMO’s, are re-sellers/peddlers, or purchase at the Food Terminal or import goods, vendors of craft, nutritional supplements, service providers, product representatives and pet food.
