Fresh locally grown ginger. You’ll not likely find this in a brick and mortar grocery store – only at a farmers’ market. Aldergrove Organic Farm has been growing for several years. It is young and not cured has an amazing zing to it. Use it fresh, pickle it, store in fridge wrapped in waxed cloth product or freeze it and shave off what you need as you go! Don’t be ginger and try some while in season or before they sell out – it will come for several weeks.
