‘Arth’ is a Sanskrit word literally translating to purpose/meaning.
Arth Toronto is a project by Ekta Maheshwari (@gulp.fiction) to bring Indian/ Indian inspired foods using fermented & seasonal ingredients to the markets of Toronto. Their food draws inspirations from the vibrant produce grown by our Ontario farmers.
They offer a variety of vegetarian food with many vegan & gluten free savoury options. The menu primarily includes food from the South of India (like idli, dosas, oothappams etc.) with seasonal specials highlighting other regional Indian foods.
Besides using local produce, their food also highlights local whole grains like red fife, millets, wild rice etc.
