Participation at Trinity is by invitation season to season. Prior to each season, market management extends invitations to returning vendors and potential new vendors - if space availability permits. There is scant turnover. Trinity is a modest sized community based farmers' market proper. The aim is not about getting bigger, it is about keeping the market strong, sustainable and viable for vendors. The vendor line up is curated for diversity and overall balance based on our mandate and to maintain our farmers' market status as per Public Health rules. Locally grown agriculture, and in prepared foods, locally sourced ingredients are our priority.
We do not keep a waiting list because of the nature of our invitation/participation process. If you are a farmer or prepared food vendor and would like to send an inquiry email, please do. But, ensure your product is relevant to our mandate prior to sending. If you are not sure, drop us a quick email. Include detailed particulars of what you farm or what your product is - lists/links are helpful.
We are a food focused and non-food vendors are not considered.
All participating vendors have gone through an application and approval process. Vendors cannot participate without prior approval by market management.
TRINITY BELLWOODS FARMERS' MARKET MANDATE
'The Trinity Bellwoods Farmers' Market mandate is to support and increase community access to local, sustainable and/or certified organic agriculture. To educate the community in the food they eat, the source from which it comes and how it is grown and/or prepared. We support slow food - gathering regional foods to cook and eat at hearth and home'.
